Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
In short: Barabari keeps a record of shared and personal expenses. It never moves money, never asks for bank or card details, shows no ads, and never sells your data.
What Barabari stores
- On your iPhone: your groups, the people in them, expenses, settlements, activity, personal transactions, wallets and budgets, plus your display name and app settings.
- In Barabari Cloud (shared groups only): the groups you create or join, their members’ display names, expenses, settlements and activity, so everyone in a group sees the same balances.
- Personal money (Just me transactions, wallets and budgets) stays on your iPhone.
What Barabari does not collect
- No email address, phone number or password — sign-in is anonymous.
- No bank, card, Raast, Easypaisa or JazzCash credentials. Payment methods are only labels you choose when recording a payment.
- No contacts, location, advertising identifiers or tracking.
Who can see your data
Shared group data is visible only to members of that group, enforced by access rules on the server. Barabari does not sell or share data with advertisers or other third parties. Cloud data is hosted by our infrastructure provider, Supabase, which processes it only to run the service.
Camera and Face ID
The camera is used only when you choose to scan an invite QR code, and images are never stored. Face ID is handled entirely by iOS; Barabari only learns whether unlocking succeeded.
Your choices
- Export your ledger as JSON or CSV from Settings at any time.
- Deleting the app removes the data stored on your iPhone.
- To remove shared cloud data, email admin@barabari.site.
Children
Barabari is not directed at children under 13.
